Seawater is a very complex multi-component aqueous solution. The major elements in seawater are Na ions, K ions, Cl ions, SO4 ions, etc., most of which are above 1 mg/kg.
Among them, the chloride ion content is the highest, with an average concentration of up to 19000mg/kg. This is far beyond the chloride ion content requirement of stainless steel materials. When using 304 and 316 stainless steel pumps to cope with seawater conditions, stress corrosion, pitting corrosion, and intergranular corrosion are bound to occur.
Many users choose stainless steel water pumps to transport seawater or saturated salt water. During use, they also found that the stainless steel pumps were severely corroded, which affected the operation of the system.

Resin Pump Introduction
The parts produced by RIM technology using the new thermosetting resin material PDCPD have excellent mechanical properties and are environmentally friendly, corrosion-resistant, and large-scale.
RIM (Reaction Injection Molding): mainly injects two low-molecular, low-viscosity liquids into the mold and mixes them at the same time; a chemical reaction occurs inside the mold to produce a polymer finished product.
Ebara’s unique technology enables a production process with lower temperature and lower viscosity than conventional RIM.
